Week 30 update

Week 30 update

Bonjour Week 30. 
Comment ca passe trop vite! How time flies! and we are already in the 30th week! I could not believe that I am already in the third and final trimester!

What am I expecting in this third trimester? According to Mayo Clinic, I will be expecting physically and emotionally challenged. Little munchkin's size is getting bigger and I will be the more and more uncomfortable. I am experiencing it now! I will get tired easily and it seems that I will get to point of getting this stage over with. YES, I do get tired easily but to be honest, I like seeing my belly grow and grow. Everyone has been telling me that I will miss being pregnant and I think that I will.

Apart from that, these some of the things that I will be expecting :
  • Braxton Hicks contractions - it is said that this is a warm-up contractions before the real contractions start. It is weak and not consistent. 
  • Spider veins, vericose veins and hemmorrhoids - the appearance of tiny red veins on my skin, blue and reddish vein especially on the legs. Sometimes it can be painful.
  • Frequent urination - I have been experiencing this since little munchkin moves deeper into my pelvic and I do feel the pressure on my bladder. Sometimes it seems ticklish in the bladder area. 

Let's see what BabyCenter has to say about my growing little munchkin. But a little disclaimer, every baby grows differently. 
  • His/her lungs and digestive tract are almost fully developped
  • He/she measures 15.7 inches or approximately 40 cm from the top of the head to the heels and keep growing in length. 
  • There is approximately around 1kg of amniotic fluid that surrounds the baby and this volume will decrease as the baby grows. 

Week 30 update :
  • Craving : Still cincau but I'm controlling my intake. I want my papaya!!!
  • Pain : right side of my abdomen since little munchkin loves to stretch out 
  • Weight gain : I think around 17-18kg
  • Clothes: my work shirts starting to get tight around my belly.
  • Mood :  as usual emotional
  • Exercise : walking, pelvic tilt, squats, breathing technique
  • Stretch marks : Alhamdulillah, none so far. Please stay that way 
  • Swelling : not so significant in my ankles
  • Baby movement : very active and I can feel the movement in 2 different parts of my belly
  • Nap : 10 - 20 mins every day
  • Leg Cramps : I can feel them in my calves and a little bit in my thighs
Currently, I am still reading "Hypnobirthing : The Mongan Method" in order to prepare myself to be relaxed and chilled during labour. In Sya Allah, I hope that it will work. AMINNow, we are in week 30 and 10 weeks to go before the little munchkin reaches 40 weeks - full term. How time flies! C'est tout pour cette semaine! A la semaine prochaine!
